A Divine Breast Mask Recipe and Ritual

to encourage your IMMUNE SYSTEM AND YOUR heart chakra to blossom

Applying a homemade, non-toxic breast (or chest) mask can moisturize, tone tissue, and calm the nervous system. Our chests and breasts are full of lymphatic tissue, therefore a cleansing mask can help remove toxins and aid your immune system in running optimally. On top of that, our breasts surround our heart chakras, the place of self-love and forgiveness.

Don’t have breasts? That’s ok. The same lymphatic vessels run through the chest, just as the same heart chakra resides within.

Practicing some self-love by applying a nourishing mask and taking the time to journal, meditate or read while it dries is one way to support your spiritual, emotional, and physical health.

So, prepare this beautiful mask and give it a try!

Ingredients

2 tbsp of kaolin clay, bentonite clay, green clay, or charcoal

1 tsp of 1 of these: calendula, rose petals, or lavender (or you can use a combination)

Herbs

Calendula: A medicinal powerhouse, calendula is antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal. It is moisturizing and is seen as a herb of the sun. It is also a heart-healing herb so use this if you’re looking to soothe, heal and invoke love and bring light in.

Rose Petals: Truly the flower of the heart, the rose supports self-love, abundance, invocations of beauty, and supports emotional and spiritual healing.

Lavender: Other than the well-reported aromatic, relaxation effect, lavender eases anxiety, and stress and assists with cleansing and bringing out balance and harmony.

Process

Add water until you reach a consistency that is easy to spread but doesn’t run. I like to use a paintbrush to apply it, but using your hands is just fine. Apply more clay or water based on how much area you need to cover.

Apply the mask all over your chest, in the armpits, and under the breasts. While drying (usually around 10-15 minutes, unless using charcoal which dries within 5 and needs to be rinsed off quicker), relax for a bit. Wash off with warm water or jump in the shower.

I love to do this on Sundays, when I take the time to have a beautiful, nourishing self-care morning of stretching, masking, dry brushing, and a warm, luxurious shower followed by sipping coffee in the sun.

Want to make it more of a ritual? Create a calm, cleansed space first by cleansing yourself and the space you will do the ritual in.

Set an intention for the ritual, such as “I will create more self-love and acceptance for myself”, anything that encourages your heart space to open.

Put on some music that invokes a sense of love for you, light some candles and then prepare and apply your mask. While the mask is drying, connect in with yourself, placing one hand over your heart space and one hand under your belly button, on your womb space.

Breathe in deeply and state your intention out loud, and with authority.

As the mask is drying, pull an oracle card for your intention, meditate, or journal.

Once dry, wash off with warm water or hop in the shower. When you are finished place your hands back on your heart space and womb space and give thanks for your beautiful heart and your body, letting the energy of your intention fill you.
